AYNI – BALANCED GIVING AND RECEIVING

We are inspired by one of the greatest laws of the Inca culture:
Ayni are the fundamental pillars of Andean culture that ensure el buen vivir, “good living”. If one applies this principle of “reciprocity”, socially responsible travel is a given. To maintain added value in the country, we prefer local cooperation partners, local transport companies and local tour guides.
We are also involved in social, cultural and environmental projects. These projects help to improve living conditions, protect nature and preserve cultural heritage in the host communities.

We provide our clients with a friendly and personalized service that surpasses all expectations.
We work with local partners to keep our team motivated and their qualifications up-to-date, enhancing their skills and achieving a positive working environment.
We strongly advocate human rights and do not tolerate any forms of discrimination.
We condemn all types of sexual abuse and exploitation against children and adolescents in general, in the tourism sector and communities.

WE PROMOTE AND SUPPORT ANDEAN SOCIAL PROJECTS

Kusi Kawsay Andean School  https://kusikawsay.org/projects/kusi-kawsay-andean-school/
Kusi Kawsay Andean School is a non-profit school, rooted in Andean tradition. The school empowers disadvantaged children from the village of Pisac and remote communities above Pisac to become confident, free, self-assured young adults, leaders of the future; helping the world to become a better place.
Kusi Ñan https://kusikawsay.org/projects/kusi-nan-organic-farm/
We directly support the organic farm Kusi Ñan, a local project of young entrepreneurs that practice traditional agriculture and permaculture.

ANDEAN COMMUNITIES
We are dedicated to protecting and promoting Andean heritage by helping to preserve traditional culture.
We support the Apu Runawana Association of the Amaru community, a traditional indigenous community.
They are experts in agriculture and the best textile weavers in the region. The aim is to preserve authenticity and the identity of their traditional way of life. We support these communities by offering a series of collaborations which run throughout the year and include private visits to their community. The most skilled artisans in the community give basketry demonstrations.

INTI PUNKU
After years of direct financial aid on site, we wanted to address a wider population, expand our financial support and raise awareness of the aid projects to help the Peruvian indigenous people preserve their culture, so we founded the “Inti Punku” association in 2009. This means “sun gate” in the Quechua language.

ETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES

We ensure that both we and our partners follow ethical business practices while at the same time adhering to the UNWTO’s Global Sustainable Tourism Criteria for responsible tour operators.
We maintain friendly and fair business relationships with all our partners, which includes transparent, fair and decent remuneration. 70% of the travel price remains in the country.

ENVIRONMENTAL RESPONSIBILITY

We protect nature by reducing and controlling the negative effects of our activities on the environment.
Reusable water bottles – all of our guests receive recyclable water bottles and we avoid plastic on all our trips.

Recyclable Paper

All our materials are printed on FSC certified/recyclable paper.
